A Message From Dr. Cavanaugh
"I can't believe nearly 4 years have gone by since we built our new office in Overland Park. We are constantly striving for excellence and reinventing ourselves in our practice to better care for our patients. Our practice has grown and expanded over the last year and we have so much to talk about.
As you read above, we have finished work on Deer Creek Surgery Center where the majority of our cataract, lens and corneal surgeries are taking place. Our patients are already expressing how happy they are with the care they've experienced at both Cavanaugh Eye Center and their surgical experience at the new surgery center.
Join me in welcoming our newest addition to our staff, Dr. Eric Beatty. Dr. Beatty moved south from Iowa to team up with me to help manage the medical side of the practice while I can focus more on surgery. We're thrilled to have Dr. Beatty's professionalism and enthusiasm at our practice.
It's a really exciting time to be an eye doctor. Research has led technological advances that allow me to help patients who just a few years ago had very few options. Better technology has led to quicker recoveries and stunning improvements in visual clarity. Some of the new advances we've added this year include a major upgrade for our LASIK laser, an array of
advanced lens implants, implantable permanent “contact lenses” and NearVision CK, all of which are rejuvenating vision for so many people. Our cornea patients can now benefit from INTACS for treating keratoconus as well as the DSAEK procedure which has virtually revolutionized corneal transplants. Cavanaugh Eye Center is renowned for finding the most innovative and effective solutions to even the most complex visual problems.
